Quick last minute entry to the Color Throwdown Challenge this week. I'm slowly building up my stock of Christmas Cards (awesome planning on my part FINALLY after years of saying I will do it!).
While the colors don't scream christmas, I wanted to see if I could make it work. I don't think my effort is so bad.
I used the Simon Says Stamp Happy Birthday die to cut out 'Happy' from co-ordinations card stock, and Memento Luxe Pear ink to co-ordinate the word Holidays from an old Papertrey Ink stamp set. The penguin is also from Papertey Ink (with a cool matching green hat). His beak and feet are watercolored, and his eyes and bobble are enamel accents to add some interest. The snowflakes were die cut from the matching set and some sparkly SSS gems added. The blue splatter is Dylusions blue. Finally the circle (Spellbinders) was die cut from some BoBunny christmas paper, all popped up on foam tape and mounted to a Bazill blue card. The ribbon is leftover from a gift wrap from Walmart!
Actually that reminds me - Wallmart often sells fancy ribbon in the gift wrap section - my tip is to go to the sewing aisle - they have a plethora of gorgeous ribbon, far cheaper than the gift wrap ribbon, and much nicer.
OK well that's all for now, have a great rest of the weekend, catch you tomorrow.
