AAA Cards Challenge - Stash Favourite

34
Hi everyone,

This week at the AAA Cards Challenge, we're asking you all to dig out your most favourite product (or products) from your stash and get creating!  We have $20 from Stampendous up for grabs to the lucky winner!

For my card this week I chose a few of my faves (even though it is supposed to be one - oops!!) - Distress Inks,  Embossing Paste and Silver embossing powder.

I have tried and tried and tried to do ink blending in the past - with the new mini blending tool and the old square one, on all sorts of paper including watercolour, I just fail miserably - tool marks, dark colour, even squeaking!  Well this time it worked - and the SECRET?  Bristol Smooth paper (I used Julie's Bristol from Ellen Hutson). OMG.  I tried it as it is so good for blending with the Zig Clear Color Markers and for Distress it works just as well. It was so easy!!   I blended my two favourite Distress Ink colours - Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio up from the bottom very lightly, fading out about a third of the way up.

I then took a Tim Holtz flower stencil and lightly misted over with Tattered Angels sparkly shimmer spray (you can't quite see this in the pic unfortunately but in real life it's like a shimmery shadow).

When that was dry, I used the stencil again, shifted over to the side slightly and added Dreamweaver Embossing Paste in white.  I embossed a sentiment in Ranger Super Fine silver embossing powder from one of my favourite stamp companies - Power Poppy and popped it up on foam squares.  To finish I added simple blobs of Glossy Accents to keep it CAS.

I can't wait to see what your stash favourites are!  Come join us!

Have a great weekend!

Jenny
