We have a new challenge over at AAA Cards, this week the theme is Thanks. I don't know about you but I think I make Thanks cards more than any other card type. I think it's always nice to say Thanks with a card, and there are so many kind people in my life I could send them to, it helps to have them on hand! We have a Guest Designer joining us this week - Elisabeth - she created a super clever card, please go check out her blog for more great inspiration.
For my card this week I used the MFT Bright Lights die-namics alphabet dies. I can't believe it but I think they may be discontinued - I can't seem to find the link anywhere (I hope not, as they're awesome).
I die cut letters from Neenah Solar White 85lb card which I had die-cut with Lil Inkers Stitched Rectangle, to spell out Thanks and added a 'for your kindness' sentiment stamped underneath in Versafine Onyx Black ink.
I created a watercolor panel using Arches Hot Press watercolor paper and Distress Inks in Wilted Violet and Faded Jeans which I sploshed on with a wet brush. I let it air dry then adhered it to a base panel of Simon Says Stamp 110lb card stock using double sided tape (the SSS seems to be a different color to the Neenah so I need to be careful about this in the future!). I then popped the Thanks panel over the top using foam tape.
As a finishing touch I added a tiny heart die cut from silver glitter card stock for a little bit more interest.
That's it!! We do hope you'll join us this week. There is a $20 voucher up for grabs for the winner from our kind sponsor Happy Little Stampers for the winner!!
