I'm back for another Happy Little Stampers Watercolour challenge.
This month's challenge is Anything Goes, with an optional twist to use dies. Those who link up will be entered to win $15 to spend in the HLS shop!
For the challenge, I embossed the large flower from the Happy Little Stampers set 'Especially For You' several times in Wow Bright White embossing powder onto watercolour cardstock. I then used my Mijello Mission Gold watercolours to create the background. I did a wash of pale pink and purple and then dried it with my heat tool.
I then gradually built up the layers and allowed some water splotches to bleed out for more texture. After 3 or 4 layers I then splattered some white spray mist over the top. - The embossing powder resists the paint but if there is any paint stuck on after drying, you can wipe it away gently with a baby wipe.
I used a large HELLO die cut from MFT Stamps and cut the entire piece, as well as a piece of fun foam. I then backed it onto a white 100lb NEenah Solar White card base with double sided tape. I then placed the fun foam letters in first, and then using liquid glue, adhered the letters cut from the background on top. As a finishing touch, I used my new (but old) Dymo label maker to create the 'You'. Retro :D I also scattered some Pretty Pink Posh dew drops over the images.
I do hope you'll join in with this fabulous challenge. The DT have lots more inspiration over at the HLS blog, and we also have Ingrid joining us as Guest Designer this week with a FABULOUS card. Make sure you check it out.
I will see you again very soon for another challenge!!
